A new piece of technology could help the UK develop more entrepreneurs.

The Reader is a device designed to assist dyslexics read text. It photographs a page of text and transforms it into spoken text for those who struggle to recognise words and spellings.

Director magazine points out that there is a strong link between dyslexia and entrepreneurship. Famously, Sir Richard Branson suffers from a mild form of dyslexia and experts have said dyslexics often have a tendency towards business leadership. According to a recent study, over a fifth of entrepreneurs in the UK suffer from some form of dyslexia.

Director argues that because the UK fails to identify dyslexia in children at a young age, the entrepreneurial leadership in this country is being stifled. The Reader, then, could be a major stepping stone for many would-be Bransons.
